Fire crews provide supplementary forces to build fire lines, patrol and perform clean up duties, offering critical support on the ground.

Type II Firefighter

-Experienced wildland firefighters
-Dedicated team position
-Guaranteed minimum work days
  (based on qualifications and experience)

Type III Firefighter

-Contingency resource
-Patrol, demobilizations, support functions
-Gain valuable wildfire experience

DTA / DTF

-Danger Tree Assessor / Faller
-Experienced wildland firefighters
-Assess and resolve hazards 

Falling Supervisor (CFS) -
Danger Tree Specialist

-Develop falling plans
-Control falling activities
-Coordinate phases
Requirements

Wildland Fire Crews

Type II fire crews provide supplementary forces to build fire lines, patrol and comb through landscapes after a fire to uncover hotspots.

These positions are contracted pre-season pending availability.

Type III fire crews are held in reserve to assist and bolster efforts as required.

Fire Fighter

Required Valid Training
S-100  Basic Fire Suppression and Safety (current annual recurrency S-100a)
S-185 Fire Entrapment Avoidance

Minimum 35 days of active wildland firefighting

Crew Leader

Required Valid Training
S-100  Basic Fire Suppression and Safety (current annual recurrency S-100a)

S-185  Fire Entrapment Avoidance

S-212 Fire Line Communications

S-230 Introduction to Supervision

S-235 Burn Off and Backfiring

ICS-100 Incident Command System 

Minimum 75 days actively involved in firefighting with 35 days as Crew Leader

Danger Tree Specialist

Required Valid Training
S-100  Basic Fire Suppression and Safety (current annual recurrency S-100a)

S-185 Fire Entrapment Avoidance

Wildlife Dangerous Tree Assessor Certificate

BC Faller Certification / CAGC-3

Minimum 5 fire seasons - averaging 40 days per season

Falling Supervisor (CFS)

Required Valid Training
S-100  Basic Fire Suppression and Safety (current annual recurrency S-100a)

S-185 Fire Entrapment Avoidance

Wildlife Dangerous Tree Assessor Certificate

BC Faller Certification / CAGC-3

Certified Falling Supervisor Certificate

Minimum 7 years experience - averaging 120 days per year

Single Resource Leader / Crew Boss

Required Valid Training
